Painter’s Restaurant is an inn, a restaurant, and a art gallery. Painter’s Restaurant opened its doors in October of 1985 in the old Storm King Theater. We’ve since moved across the street to what was formerly the Cornwall Inn.
Our eclectic menu offers Italian, Japanese, Mexican and American fare, served in a casual atmosphere. We blend local seafood, meat and produce to create something to please every palate. Painter’s menu changes seasonally, and we have new Blackboard Dinner Specials every other week.
To complement your meal, choose a wine from our simple yet elegant list (available by the bottle or glass) or one of more than 100 beers from around the world. One of the largest selections in the world. Enjoy an after-dinner drink in our Gallery bar, which features premium liquors in a quiet atmosphere.
Stop by for lunch or dinner, or join us for Sunday brunch. Painter’s is easy to find, and is just minutes from West Point, Storm KingArtCenter, Brotherhood Winery, and historic Newburgh. If you’re not from the HudsonValley, plan to stay the night in one of the seven rooms at the Inn.

In the last year, we’ve hosted art exhibits, poetry readings, and special dinners pairing foods with spirits, tequila, and beers. Painter’s has a private room available for business meetings, APP Corporations, temporary housing, conferences, and we offer on- and off-premise catering. We’d be happy to help you plan special events such as:

Lunch served Monday thru Friday from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Dinner served Monday through Thursday until 10pm, Friday and Saturday until 10:30pm and Sunday until 9pm.
Sunday Champagne Brunch from 10:30am to 3:00pm, with Blackboard Dinner Specials available at 5:30pm.
